About Me

Hello, I’m Anah Swank! I was born and raised in the heart of Colorado Springs. I invest most of my time into family and friends. I enjoy being in the mountains, baking, and walking through life with my identical twin, who is my other half. My church and their mission align with my passion of spreading the joy and light of God through every opportunity before me. Growing up in a family of five children who were all dedicated to the performing arts world, we challenged and developed our talent alongside one another.
My journey with dance began at the age of four. From a very young age, I developed a deep love and passion for dance. I am skilled in various techniques such as ballet, modern, contemporary, musical theater, partnering, and Broadway jazz. Along with dance classes, I dedicated much time to theater. Throughout the years I performed in 11 off-Broadway shows. When I was off stage, I choreographed and assisted in behind the scenes operations. The most recent skill that I have developed is aerial silks. The Performing Arts world has not only allowed me to connect with my closest friends, but is also a way to worship God and share His light through movement.
I spent 15 years dancing at Turning Pointe School of Dance, where I grew both as a dancer and as an individual. My journey evolved as I took on roles as a teacher's assistant, intern, and now as a dance instructor. Currently, I have the privilege of teaching various dance styles to students aged 5-9 years old. My focus is not only on teaching dance techniques but also on creating a supportive environment where students learn to encourage one another and use dance as a form of worship. Watching my students develop the same love for dance that I have brings me immense joy.
Today, I am actively involved with Ormao Dance Company and Dragonfly Aerials. I am committed to continuing my mission of sharing God's light and the Gospel through every performance.
